The Astana Circus is one of Astana's most striking landmarks and a popular family destination. Located on the capital's left bank, it is the city's only circus and one of the largest circus complexes in Kazakhstan. The circus opened on December 14, 2005, and since then has become an important cultural center for the capital, hosting spectacular shows and international touring programs. The circus building features unique architecture, shaped like a "flying saucer", making it one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. Its modern design creates the impression of a floating structure and fits harmoniously into the skyline of the new capital.

The circus's auditorium seats approximately 2,000 and features a classic arena with a diameter of 13 meters, allowing it to host large-scale performances of various formats. The complex also includes training rooms, rooms for performers, and animal enclosures. A hotel block for touring troupes is located nearby. The circus's repertoire encompasses all major genres of circus arts: acrobatics, aerial gymnastics, juggling, illusion, clowning, and animal performances. The programs feature both Kazakhstani artists and invited groups from various countries. The circus troupe comprises over 300 performers, including winners of international competitions and festivals. The troupe actively tours internationally and represents Kazakhstan on the global circus stage. A themed alley with sculptures of fairy-tale characters and circus heroes is located in front of the circus building, creating a festive atmosphere even before the show begins. Today, the Capital Circus is one of Astana's main entertainment centers, where spectators can immerse themselves in a vibrant show, see unique acts, and become familiar with the art of the circus.
